So, let’s be honest… Here I am, writing about seasons, which is all well and good, however, this no man’s land, in between season I’m currently in is producing some of the absolute most stunning flowers I have ever seen. Japanese hydrangea.
Hydrangea in Japan are celebrated and many Japanese residents and international tourists take time to pilgrimage to the most famous and well known hydrangea sites.
The flower itself loves and thrives within the moist and humid conditions of the late spring and summer conditions. There’s a period of rainy season at the very beginning of summer where it rains nearly every day for a few weeks in a row. During this time the hydrangea blossom, and surprise you by showing up in completely unexpected places.
These flowers have delighted and thoroughly enchanted me this season, so I thought I’d take the opportunity to share them with you!
