Everyone needs a moment to get away.

A moment, to breath and figure out what's next.

Especially with the New Year beginning. This is the time to plan out the months and figure out what is important to you this year.

This weekend, we stayed at the Palomar Hotel San Diego and they provided us with the most perfect stay.

Our room, had the most perfect "I need to contemplate life with my coffee" window.

I think I sat in that window more than I sat in bed. hah

This weekend, I had the chance to get out of the house and enjoy my own city and think about what this new year will be bringing me.

I thought a lot of what this year might bring me and I couldn't really pinpoint one thing, now, idk if that's a bad thing or if I just want too many things.

Growing up is a weird thing, it's like one day you just realize "oh man, I'm not a kid anymore"

I mean, I look like one, but don't feel like one anymore.

I have to start making choices for the long run, not just today.

I felt this weekend was an amazing start to 2017, even though we are a few weeks into the year already.

The Kimpton gave me that perfect refresh that I have been needing. Every time I venture down to San Diego, I always stay at a Kimpton property. I love the aesthetic they carry out in all the rooms and the accommodations are always impeccable.

Plus, they are pet friendly so of course there are pups everywhere!

They also have Happy Hour @ 5pm - 6pm at every property! This is my favorite part, they always have amazing new wines and food to try!

I found a new wine, that I will be finding for my wine posts!

I love being able to have a staycation in my own city, it is definitely needed sometimes in this crazy life!
