Miami, Art Basel
Okay, if you didn't sing "Welcome to Miami" from back in the day when reading that title, you're not old enough to read this.
HAHA Just Kidding.
After our trip to Jamaica, we made a quick stop to Miami. I haven't been to Maimi since I was in high school, which was many moons ago and I don't think Art Basel was a thing back then, or maybe it was because honestly, I have never heard of Art Basel before.
To be honest tho, we got to Miami before the actual even started, so we missed most of the parties and events. But I did get to see a lot of the exhibits being put up! Which lead to a lot of confusion on what all this artwork was, but I was having a grand time trying to figure out why there were white and gold elephants all over the beach, it was great.
I GUESS what Art Basel is, is a reason for really rich people to come together and create art or just buy it since buying is what they are really good at. LOL JK.
Art Basel is actually a place to show modern and contemporary art in Basel, Maimi South Beach. There is also an event in Hong Kong. They are always expanding and bringing out new artists. It's something I will try to make it out to every year now. I like the thought of just being inspired by new art every year. I like that the art is not just limited to fine painting but it's graffiti and random mirrored poles stuck in the sand. It makes you think like WTF is this. I don't know, but it's making me think.

We didn't stay too long here, so I don't have too much to say expect that you should go to Art Basel next year so I look like I know more people there.
